How do people who believe in reincarnation account for the growing population? I was reading up on a story about this little boy named James who is apparently a reincarnation of a WWII pilot who was shot down by the Japanese. Given all the information that he knew about his "past life"...I suppose I believe his story. But then I started thinking, are all people reincarnations of those who lived in the past? If so, why is the population growing? How are new souls formed?
Could all the similar stories found in the Bible and Pagan religion be evidence of the reincarnation of Jesus? In the Bible it hints at reincarnation The episode in the Bible where Jesus identified John the Baptist as the reincarnation of Elijah the prophet is one of the clearest statements which Jesus made concerning reincarnation. For all the prophets and the law have prophesied until John. And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who was to come. (Matt. 11:13-14) In the above passage, Jesus clearly identifies John the Baptist as the reincarnation of Elijah the prophet. Later in Matthew's gospel Jesus reiterates it. And the disciples asked him, saying, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" But he answered them and said, "Elijah indeed is to come and will restore all things. But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also shall the Son of Man suffer at their hand." Then the disciples understood that he had spoken of John the Baptist." (Matt. 17:10-13) In very explicit language, Jesus identified John the Baptist as the reincarnation of Elijah. Even the disciples of Jesus understood what Jesus was saying. This identification of John to be the reincarnation of Elijah is very important when it comes to Bible prophecy. By identifying the John with Elijah, Jesus identified himself as the Messiah. The Hebrew scriptures mentions specific signs that would precede the coming of the Messiah. One of them is that Elijah will return first.
In What Dreams May Come is the story saying after death can anyone choose reincarnation if they want? I was confused with why the couple were leaving their heaven to go back to the world, again.

Why do so many people desire reincarnation? I used to think I wanted it until I did some serious soul-searching and discovered I love the people I'm friends and family with now, and couldn't possibly want for anything else. I've read stories of people that have said that they deeply love their families but can't wait for their "next" life. It baffles me. Any thoughts? P.S. Be serious, please.
Any one knows of good information on déjà vu and/or reincarnation? I have had déjà vu several times in a week consistently since 24 may 2004. This was a day that defined my life as it is today because many strange things happen over time to make a long story short but nothing terrible but definitely life changing, however, that day started the ball rolling on where I am today but I am not compelled to think it is a form of reincarnation but I definitely feel like I have been many places before not to mention have lived life before but in reality I know this as my first life but déjà vu feelings make me think otherwise. Any good books on déjà vu as well as reincarnation and how/if they are related. I am open to look for information specifically on déjà vu alone as well as specifically reincarnation if possible.
Do you know that Jesus (Yesu) was an advocate of reincarnation and astrology? You can find all the information on the web. Just search for the essen book of wisdom or the Essen story on the web and read about Jesus to your heart's content. You may end up throwing away the New Testament Bible you have. Also, these information is said to be found in the secret archives of the Vatican - hidden from people while the 'chumped up stories' are being read.
What is reincarnation and is it real? Any links to stories of people or information on reincarnation. I'm looking for more of a scientific perspective as opposed to religious. Meaning I want SOME KIND OF proof (Stories of people who accept it as real).
What do you think of this reincarnation story? http://www.reversespins.com/proofofreincarnation.html I just love it. I think it's really quite cool, however I'm Buddhist myself so of course I would. Boy lots of mean people. Mmm, yes of course I want to waste my time on Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. *eye roll*
Does the theory of Evolution "disprove" the concept of reincarnation? Long story short, I am currently in an argument with a friend of mine who, for one thing, believes in the concept of evolution. However, he also believes in the concept of reincarnation, thinking he was a canine in a previous life because he has several "traits of a canine". However, I mentioned that evolution states that there is no life after death, but he claims evolution says nothing about this. Does evolution go against reincarnation or not???
Does this reincarnation story seem possible ? http://www.childpastlives.org/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=14551
for people who believe in reincarnation? My whole life i've felt like someone else? my whole life i've either felt like someone else or wished i was someone else, I've always either felt like i didnt belong or like i was watching people threw a TV screen instead of actually there... i confessed this feeling to my guidance councilor in school when i was about 14, she told me that it was because i'm reincarnated, she said it was because i was someone else in my past life, and my soul is having trouble adapting to the "new me" she told me i'd out grow it... that was 4 years ago, i've felt this way since i was a kid, I gave myself a nickname at age 3 and wouldnt answer to anything but it. After a while i even made my mom change the style of clothes she bought for me, because those clothes didnt feel like me. I am a HUGE fan of classic rock. and 60's - 70's style clothes. my school guidance councilor believes i'm a reincarnated musician/hippy. who probably died in the 70's or 80's... i was born in 92. she offered to look up some people for me, but i don't think i believe in reincarnation so i told her not to bother. She has since moved away and i have finished school so i no longer have a way to contact her. but i want to know is it a phase to feel like you should have been someone else... like is it something that everyone goes threw in their lifetime? to wish you were someone else? or is there a chance it is because i really was reincarnated? I really Don't feel like me. i never have, i feel like i was suppose to be someone else, like i want to be someone else, but i dont think i want to, because i'm me, i was born me, but i HATE being me? the older i get the more i'm starting to believe her reincarnation story, but i dont think i should, my mom told me when i was a kid i use to tell her these things that i remembered that didnt happen, i use to scare her badly. but she figured i was just a kid making up storys from things i saw on TV, please help, i'm sorry if my question doesnt make sense I also feel like i should have been alive in the 60's and 70's i prefer their TV shows to modern day, even did as a kid, i prefer drive in restaurants(where the waitresses come to your car) the Drive in theater and I prefer classic style restaurants. I also love antiques like my Record player(which as a kid of about 2 i took apart and put back together perfectly on my own as if i'd done it a million times. My mother said that i was a pro with the thing. and i can still fix my record player when something goes wrong with it, i dunno why, but i just know what to do...) Thanks Mad_CatZ what are the chances that i am reincarnated...also what are the chances of finding info or the name of the person i was reincarnated from? she wasnt preaching religion, she was trying to help, she even admitted herself that she didnt believe in it, but she felt it was true for me. this question says for people who believe in reincarnation not for people to tell me its not real.
Did the Ancient Egyptians believe in reincarnation or something simular to it? Like in the Mummy Returns haha? I'm writing a story for my English class but it has to be accurate. Also during what time were there Jewish slaves?
do you believe in reincarnation ? did you have any personal your stories about reincarnation and talk me about it and i am so curious ?i had some dreams and it was about it plz tell me
I don’t believe in rich life of heaven but believe in reincarnation. Is it correct? Bible says just believe in jesus and you will get space in heaven. You can live happily there with your relatives forever. This is something like promising chocolates for crying babies. But I really doubt this story. Based on our “karma” after getting moksha (nirvana) our soul will unite with God almighty. We can accept this story because it never says believe in some one. And also it is rational thinking.
reincarnation true story? Went out to dinner with my family the other night and my 3 year old nephew out of the blue says in my past life i died in a fire and then he just went back to eating. all of are mouths dropped. i never really thought about life after death or reincarnation. well just thought i would share it spooked the hell out of me.
Help with story idea? Reincarnation or a witch? I want to write this story about a girl who has a lot of lives, I'm not sure why that is, but I'm leaning towards reincarnation (the only ideas that I could think of were that or being a witch with nine lives). I have two main ideas. The first one is that the main character is reincarnated. Every year, at age 18 (or something like that), she's murdered. I have several ideas about this: either because she's murdered by this crazy woman whose obsessed with her boyfriend & her boyfriend knows that she's reincarnated and is trying to stop her from getting murdered, OR she gets murdered because... I'm not sure, but it has to do with her family? And her parents could be really overprotective because they're trying to stop her from getting murdered. Or, they could not know at all. The other idea could be that she's a witch. I've read that a witch/cat can turn into a human 9 times, but then they get stuck as a cat. I think that maybe the main character could fall in love with this guy whose human, & have to turn into a human to see him. Which idea do you like better? For the first idea, it wouldn't show her going through a bunch of reincarnations. It would just show her "current" recarnations, with some flashbacks.
Reincarnation: Reoccurring Dreams? I've been reading loads of stories on reincarnation..and almost all of them tell about a reoccurring dream from a "past life" that they eventually put together and come up with an explanation for. Well I have a re-occurring dream, but I can't make anything out of it. So here it is: Its a plain big white room, with nothing, except a BIGGGGGGGGG red ball, like a big kick ball, only enourmous. I see my older brother and my dad spinning around on it over and over getting faster and faster and me just watching. Then they slow down and look at my like something is horribly wrong, and I get this over whelming feeling, a gut feeling. Its hard to describe the feeling because it feels so real: and then they start spinning again, faster and faster, then all over again. And for some reason a tiny little brown mouse carrying a basket picking up pieces of dirt i think? Usually that would be the end. But the last time I had it, it continued. There was a long passage type room, with a long narrow pool, and some woman swimming my way and coming up out of the water. I haven't had the dream in a good year? I'd say. Also, when I was younger I used to always stop breathing in my dreams and wake up gasping for air. Like I would dream I was under water, and i would really not breath, or someone was holding their hand over my mouth preventing me to breath. None of it makes sense. I think I'm looking so hard for clues to a "past life" that I'm throwing out every possible piece of evidence....but who knows. I wouldn't call it a nightmare, but it was not a good dream.
Reincarnation? I love to hear stories about reincarnation. 1. What do you believe/know you were in a past life? 2. what would you like to be in your next life? (Please no answers as "i don't believe in... blah blah blah) I want truthful honest answers! thanks for all your answers. I'm just interested in everones point of view when it comes to reincarnation. I believe reincarnation is real, and everyone is and has been reincarnated. There are those times when you feel such a strong connection with something, yet you have never seen/done it before. It's amazing some of the energy you can pull from something. It's a very weird concept to be able to understand, but I believe it's true!
I feel stupid after talking about Reincarnation with my friend and now she thinks I a freak..=/? I was looking online of stories of reincarnation and they seemed to be pretty intense stories. My friend was like it's all made up and that made me feel stupid for believing it. I don't believe everything it says but don't think it is all false either. With the idea's of a past soul or spirit of a person and even a family member, becoming a new human being but with different personality, looks etc. Does anyone else believe in this type of thing, if not what do you believe? Thanks and please no negative answers, I'm feeling a little down.
Have you heard stories about Western children who have been identified as reincarnations of lamas? In a book by Lama Surya Das called "Awakening the Buddha Within" I came across this statement on page 26: "To date, approximately fifteen Western children have been sought out and recognized as lama reincarnations – known as tulkus." I'm wondering if there are any news articles, stories, biographies, or whatever, about any of these people. What ever became of them? Did they grow up to be lamas? I'm curious if anyone knows some information about them. And just to be clear: A llama is a furry camel-like creature that you sometimes see on farms, but that's NOT what I'm talking about. A lama is a Tibetan or Mongolian Buddhist monk. Also, I know a lot of you are just itching to tell me how stupid the whole idea of reincarnation is. Don't bother. I don't really believe in reincarnation (but I do keep an open mind on the subject). I'm just curious about the lives of kids who have been identified in this way. What happens to them?
can you be christian and believe in reincarnation? who here believes in some sort of reincarnation? i kinda do....ive read stories of people who remember past lives and that is very convincing. plus i can not remember not being alive so i probably wont be aware of being dead.... i kinda believe it is possible to be born again. in human forms only...
Ramadan - What Does Islam Say About Reincarnation? There Are Stories From Children, So It Can't Be A Way Of Making A Lot Of Money From Selling Their Stories. Yes Some People Can Say That, The Parents Put Them Up To It BUT Children Aren't Very Good At Lying... So Yea, What Does The Qur'an And Hadith Say About this? Oh I Already Know About Resurrection... But I Mean People Claiming To Have Had Past Lives.
Do you believe in reincarnation? It seems everyone in this section is either a nut job christian or a judgemental atheist. I am of the shinto religion (which you probably have not heard of)It is a lot like bhudism. So long story short I believe in reincarnation. what is your view on it? BQ:what religion are you?
Have you ever met anyone who thought they were reincarnations of Richard the Lion heart? lol..what you would think if you heard someone say that they WERE "Richard the Lion heart"? and why? how this is thought POSSIBLE in Mythological stories or theories of Reincarnation? please explain.. or which other famous people have you ever heard someone claim to be related to or actually BE in reincarnation? and what you thought ? thanks for your answers!
Do you think fate exists or is it just mere living? Some people believe they were born for something, mostly influenced by these reincarnation movies. We read stories everyday of either a plane crash, suicides, diseases etc. I mean people die without even knowing that their life will be over in a matter of seconds, so isn't fate just a concept to support oneself in times of grief?
What am i supposed to make of rebirth tales? That's all i heard and saw when visiting india , never ending tales about how people get reborn after death and even monuments erected by some to prove its authenticity. come to think of it its not much different in the west with lots of people believing in reincarnation. Bookshops are filled with stories written by people about rebirth. I find it very sad to think that most people are still holding onto this survival mentality , even by means of myths such as rebirth. Why cant we come to terms that every life that begins must end?
Near Death Experiences? Reincarnation? Memories that do not belong to this life? If you have an experience with any of the listed above then please tell me. If you have an interesting ghost story I will also be interested. Please only serious answers. Best answer wins! For those of you who are against Reincarnation...well please take a look at the scientific evidence by doctor Ian Stevenson before you give me your opinion on it.
Theory of Reincarnation of past lives? I am not a believer in religion, heaven or hell, gods, but I'll stick with being Agnostic being I don't know and there is no way of knowing and want to keep an open mind. But I am quite spiritual. I feel the mind is separated from the body and moves on. That inner voice we hear is our soul, that invisible light that always lives but hosts from a living object of something from somewhere. (I try to vision people as lights before judging). The soul is like an ascended being that inhabits a body in order to gain knowledge. Then when the body, its host, dies, the soul goes back to it's ascended state of being. Then remembers all past lives to decide whether it has what it wants in order to move on and be an all knowing ascended being of the universe of higher wisdom. So if the soul decides it hasn't reached it's potential knowledge or motive it goes back to be hosted in some human or what not form. Being the soul is "all knowing" or has a greater knowledge capacity, the human mind or creature does not have the brain capacity to remember all this so this before birth stage is forgotten apart from a few scattered memories of Deja Vu , dreams, feelings, thoughts. As to why when randomly coming upon a stranger u already feel a deep connection, bond, or feel of a "soul mate." Dreams from when little that later occur in reality years later. Child prodigies having a skill so young that was a major trait from past life. Then stories of children remembering past lives being that past life is more fresh in memory as to an adult who forgets being that past life was long ago. Then when the soul does accept what it has experienced I guess it's just peace and a forever feeling of Euphoria and connection of all that is from people, nature, space, time, dimension and other souls. Maybe this can be related to Religion. When the soul decides whether it wants to go back to earth is like a Final Judgment, or when the soul finally is at peace it's like heaven. When the soul ascends it will be with all the other souls from past experiences always, being the soul is connected with everything and has no limits. It's just a theory out of many that I've been thinking. I don't necessarily believe it but it's just a thought. Makes me feel hopeful though whether it's false or not. To each their own. Just something to think about. What do you think: Reincarnation, have any experiences, stories, sources, etc?
Does this make you a believer in reincarnation? 11 year old has stunning memories of past life and visits his past life family in his present life. http://www.fox8.com/wjw-reincarnation-txt%2C0%2C1190900.story

Isn this definite proof of reincarnation? http://www.reversespins.com/proofofreincarnation.html I believe reincarnation exists, there are many similar stories like this through out the world. to thomas j- what do you mean by random webpage or sensationalization? its ABC NEWS, haven you heard of it? its not some crackpot's story that came out from thin air
Huh...it's weird about reincarnation? Last year, I went to a museum exhibit and found a painting featuring a female model who looks exactly like me. The hairline, the eyebrows, eye shape & color, nose, and facial bone structure-everything! The painting was done in 1902, and I was born in 1971. That got me thinking, how in the world did I get depicted in a painting done seventy years before I was born? Reincarnation? I've heard stories and seen the old movies, but never believed it and never wondered the mechanics of reincarnation. Has anyone found themselves in a similar odd situation? Well, Falooha, The painting is called "Untitled" (Palay Maiden) by Fernando Amorsolo. The model looks to be about 20-25 years old and I myself am going on 37, so you won't find me all in the same condition as the painting. I did look for photos of me in a similiar pose around back when I was younger, but could not find any to firmly establish this likeness as a uncontestable fact among my co-workers. I did find a light blue towl and wrapped it around me like in the painting and did the hair like the model, and my husband says all that is similar now is the hairline and the nose and the dimples now that I am, well, fatter. Maybe I will take a photo and put it up somewhere and ask for a general consensus. Um, dedicated Christians, please don't leave comments trying to save me from certain death at some point in the future, instead of answering my question in earnest. Your automatic, thoughtless advice fall on barren soil. I prefer to make my own judgements, thanks.
Reincarnation stories: Truth, or hoax? What do you think? I have just finished watching a very interesting and convincing program on the bio channel, an episode of "The Unexplained" and it was about reincarnation. It tells the stories of people who seem to have been reincarnated. One example is about a woman who remembers a past life in which she had a family, and then she is reunited with her family in this life. I myself am skeptical about this, and im suspicious that these stories might be money-making hoaxes. Whats do you think?
Do you believe in reincarnation? I do, when I was three I had a dream where I was a bear being chased by people, I lost my footing and started to roll down the hill where I hit my head on a rock (in a river) and drowned. I beleive it because when you're three you don't really hear about bears or any other animal. Do you believe in reincarnation? What's your story?
Christians story about reincarnation I think you might find it interesting? Elijah the prophet is believed to have lived in the ninth century B.C.E. At the point of his death a fiery chariot with horses of fire took him in a whirlwind to heaven and he was seen no more (II Kings 2:11). Four hundred years later, Malachi closed the last lines of the Old Testament with a prophecy from God stating that God would send Elijah before the "great and terrible day of the Lord" comes (Malachi 4:5). The Jewish people were expecting Elijah to return as the necessary preface to signal the coming of the Messiah. The disciples all felt that Jesus was the Messiah but they were puzzled. Where is Elijah? The disciples asked the Master about this and he told them that Elijah had already returned as John the Baptist. The first discussion of this is in Matthew, chapter 11 I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come. He who has ears, let him hear. Matthew 11:11-15, NIV The disciples asked him, "Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?" Jesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands." Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist. Matthew 17:10-13, NIV
Can you write a little story re: REINCARNATION that includes, but is not limited to, 6 of these lines? This is merely for the pure fun of stretching your imagination and being creative, friends. I finished college ages ago...ages. 1. Metaphysically speaking.....YOU ROCK!! 2. I want all the skeptics in the room to get lost! 3. Did you know that sometimes in a middle of a lie your left eye twitches? 4. The crowd completely hushed when he walked into the room. 5. Nope.....there is no Hell. Although I hear Los Angeles is getting pretty close. 6. Ten or twenty, I guess. I've lost count. 7. What goes around, comes around.....time and again...muawwww !! 8. Well, hmmmmm....that actually explains why I always ___________. 9. The women fainted the men cried but the kids just kept texting each other. 10. Fear is the blockade to all true happiness......Well...fear and too many losses in the stock market. 11. Wyatt Earp or the Clantons? 12. You are soooooo not going to convince me with THAT hair-brained theory.
Would you consider demon knowledge the explanation for reincarnation ? Follow the story line here. It is only a tale. A spirit guide begins to come to you, tells you that its name is Marilyn. It prepares to take up habitation in you. You are told you are the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe, and it is your guide, Marilyn. The spirit guide is a DEMON that was IN Marilyn Monroe. Therefore it knows things ABOUT Marilyn Monroe that you didn't know until it tells you. And now that same demon is in you. Reincarnation? Or demons on duty?
Does this prove reincarnation? http://www.fox8.com/wjw-reincarnation-txt%2C0%2C1190900.story yea?!?!
Does Reincarnation exist? And do people have past lives? I've seen things on youtube, of people getting hyptnotized (however you spell it) into seeing their past lives, and there was a story of a little boy who told his parents about his past life as a plane pilot in the war or something? And he knew EVERYTHING... so I do believe in past lives.. but I don't know. What do you think?
Was Walt Disney a reincarnation of God? and all the Disney movies stories of the people God sent to lead the world to a better place?
Scary story, does anyone believe in reincarnation? I went to this psychic guy recently and he told me I was the after like of a survivor of the titanic. My name was Diana and I was a young American society beauty who was on her way back from the UK with her mother. Anyway...when I was 6 or 7 I used to wake up screaming the name Robert, my mom got all freaked out because she didn't know any Roberts and neither did I. This psychic guy said to me 'Do you ever dream about a boy named Robert' and I said 'I used to when I was little, but I don't know any Roberts' and he said Robert was a young man of society whom I fell in love with while on the ship. Then he said that he came to me in my dreams because I left him on the ship, he said that Robert said it was okay because he asked me to. Then he said 'Does October the 17th 1994 have any relevance in your life?' I said 'That's the day I was born' and then he said 'That's the day Diana died at the age of 95' He went on to tell me that Diana eventually did get married to a man who she never loved and she had a little boy called Robert, who obviously she named after the man she loved. I was really creeped out by all this and now I totally believe it, does anyone else have stories like mine because I'd be very interested to hear it.
Christians, do u believe in reincarnation ?!? btw i'm a christian there was a lot of Christian that believed in reincarnation , including Jobran Khalil Jobran and lot more of writers and philosophers.... i did lot of thinking ,and formed an opinion about it...i think that reincarnation can in a big percentage excite , for lots of reasons ... first reason 1) God tempt every person when he's rich , poor , talented , handsome , ugly , wealthy , healthy , sick , sad, happy ect.... one life could not serve it ... 2) life isn't fair if one person borne lucky , handsome , talented ,happy people appreciate him , and another person ugly , untalented , people hates him , unlucky , poor ect...i think that every soul should pass all this situation ... 3)some babies souls died the moment they were born , this souls didn't have the chance to be tempted by GOD and to where they have to go to heaven or to hell , so by reincarnation , this souls can have another life and chance ..... 4)their are lots of stories about people that had remembered their previous life ...( i know a little boy 10 years old that had remembered his previous life , he was a husband and a father for 3 children , this husband died by a trunk that hit him, this boy went to his wife and told her all about her husband and the secrets that only he and his wife knew and told her about the scar in her body ...i was shocked i saw and heard what happened...including other stories i read in books about reincarnation i want to know what are u opinion about this subject ?! and does the bible mentioned something abut reincarnation ?!
Do you believe in reincarnation? I do, I believe I was reincarnated from a Civil War soldier who was killed in the Battle of Gettysburg. I have this really weird love for it there. I have gone three times and I get really anxious to go at random times. I would rather go to Gettysburg then the beach, Orlando, ect. So do you believe in reincarnation, if so what's your story?
reincarnation? (for people who believe in god also..just opinions of yours.) FOR EVERYONE PLEASE READ!? Hi! I was just thinking of something today and I thought I would get your opinion on this. I have always believed in god. And i still do kind of. But doesn't it make sence that people reincarnate into someone else when they die? Like they can't remember who they were before. I was thinking about this during history. We are wondering what it will be like in a million years from now. What if we got to expirence it, but not as yourself? I really find it facinating, even though none of us really know what happens when we die. I just thought it could be a possibilty to be reborn because what happens after you die either go to heaven ? rot in a hole or be born again. Idk I always thought of the concept in heaven until i really thought about it. 1. what are your views on this? 2. EVEN IF YOU BELIEVE IN SOMETHING ELSE wouldn't it be cool if we actually got to be reborn 1 million years from now? 3. Any cool stories that have to do with reincarnation?
Jesus is God reincarnation into human form? Firstly I heard that Jesus is the Messiah or messenger/prophet,later the priest changed the story jesus is son of God,ok whilst I was argueing on the topic(son of God story ),the priest changed the story again that Jesus is actually reincarnation of God into human form. What!?you changed the story again, three times in my lifetime and I'm only 45 years old.If you priest play that kind of game then I don't want to play the game anymore,I quit!! before you priest make up a story that Jesus is also Hindu god reincarnation,Shiva, vishnu, rama , buddha,Pagan god and what else?I quit!!,I quit!! I will tell somebody to pick my stuff and clear the table, you guys sure know how to make up story as you go along.
is reincarnation true? Okay hi all, i have a question, i was watching the news the other day, not American but Indian, and they had a story about a child and reincarnation. The kid in it kept on telling his family about names, brothers, sisters, uncles, wife , stuff like that. The kid was i forget how old, maybe 4 at the most, but he told them where he lived, and it said he only used to say those things at night, like over and over again. So the news said that the parents when to that town, located the previous family of who he said he was, and they said it had to be him. The kid also said who he was in a previous life and how he died! the family confirms it's true, both the name and how the death occured. Thoughts??
Looking for novels of a metaphysical nature? Years ago I read a fiction novel that was metaphysical. I remember there was a term for that type of book but I can't remember it and haven't had any luck finding it. I'm interested in fiction books that have psychics, magic, witches, ghosts, reincarnation, ouija, scrying and the like. Not so much the vampire stories. Does anyone know what this type of book would be listed as? I have searched Amazon with no luck. Thank you all in advance for your intelligent answers! I have looked up metaphysical fiction and I don't get anything. If it has the word "fiction" in it, then that's what you get. But not metaphysical. (I don't think the zen thing is what I'm looking for, but thanks.) Maybe the term I should use is "New Age Fiction". What do you think? Thank you so much! This has been bugging me for a while now. I'm not much into gore but I like a good ghost story! I learn a lot from reading the listmania at Amazon. Well, I've got my work cut out for me now...thanks for the website. I will go and continue my search. Thanks again... I don't think "spider" or the first guy took the time to read my question. I am interested in Metaphysical/New Age FICTION. I have read "Zen" and yes, it's a nice book but it is not what I am looking for. Please take the time to read the questions you are answering. Neither you or the first answer could possibly be the best answer because you didn't answer my question. I already know the meaning of "Metaphysical". I do not need a lesson on that. I realise you think you are being quite intelligent but you are not. In any case, I was only given one answer to my question that was an actual answer so therefore, that person will get the "best answer" award. Thank you for your help, best answer. I love the page you gave me and found exactly what I was looking for from your answer! Have a nice day. Thank you Blue...you too, answered my question with lots of helpful information. You are right on about those authors. The books I have found are great and I now have a lot of research to do finding and listing the ones I want to read. Thank you so much.
William or Harry, a reincarnation of King Arthur.? I heard a lovely story a few months ago that either William or Harry is a reincarnation of King Arthur. He's supposed to build a new Camelot and save us all by bringing about peace. My friend said it's quiet an old story - have you heard it before? Can't see people following Harry dressed up as a Nazi though. Maybe thoses days have gone, but it's nice to hold onto a dream. OK then, I'm away with the fairies lol. Reply to mickdotcom - that's your view, I'm Jewish and don't share it. This question has nothing to do with religion.
Reincarnation and Jews - Answers please? I am not Jewish myself, but grew up around many Jewish people in The Bronx. Some of the Chasidic stories I've read seem to suggest that Jews, at least in some way, believe in reincarnation. What's the scoop?
Does anyone believe in reincarnation? If so, do you have any stories or evidence? Just out of curiosity.
Reincarnation in the UK? Do you believe in reincarnation? I believe from personal experience in reincarnation, (so please do not tell me my beliefs are wrong), I want to hear other believers stories of past life memories, or weird occurances that led to your belief in reincarnation. I asked this in the American Forum and was barraged by people telling me I'm wrong....please I only want to hear stories of people that have had experiences leading them to believe in Reincarnation. I have studied the works of Dr. Ian Stevenson, Edgar Cayce etc. I find it fascinating and would like to know what the people of the UK think of this....
Reincarnation argumentative assay ? Tell me if its good and if not how to correct it please Through sanctuaries people wondered is there another life? Is Death there is all that is waiting for us at then end of the tunnel? Therapists, Researchers, Metaphysics, and Psychotherapist argued that one life is just flyspeck and we have hundred or thousands of those flyspecks. Yes I believe there is life beyond this lifetime. People can’t know everything but when they do that is when everything stops. People like Ian Stevenson, Dr. Jim Tucke had researched children who were three years old with memories of their past life. The children would recollect events about incidents that they couldn’t have knowledge of at their age. Those children would forget the whole information by the time they were seven years old. Other people like Peter Ramster did hypnosis on people to fined out about past life memories. Also, there is another study about birth marks and scars that baby couldn’t just inherit. I heard a lot of stories of past life experiences. Once of the stories included a boy who was too young to know about WWII and, Kamikaze attacks. The boy would have dreams at two years of age about how his plane was crashed by a kamikaze. He also knew a lot about planes for a four year old. Later on they found out there was a person who live and fought for the USA. That person died, but none of the family members knew how he died. There are also arguments against reincarnation. A lot of people believe that after we die our spirit lives on with or without god. Christians are one of the people who reject reincarnation for two main reasons. The first is because the Bible does not teach it. The Bible says, "Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). The second reason Christians reject reincarnation is because Christ has paid the full penalty for our sins. I myself believe in Reincarnation because it tells me that I never die or I just live one body to transfer into another body. Kat can u give me additional details why u do or do not believe in reincarnation on the Cristian level also I am stating a lot of information because i am writing an argumentative essay
Am looking for a specific movie about reincarnation...? I saw it in the 90's. The plot was inspired by a true story in which a young girl from India starts remembering things that didn't happen to her and recognizing places she's never been to. It turns out that she is the reincarnation of a deceased woman and leaves her family to meet "her" late husband. As the word reincarnation doesn't appear in the title, I'm having a hard time to remember the name of the movie. Can anybody help me?
Could I be the reincarnation of my own grandmother or do I just carry her Karma? Here is a link to a story that happened many years ago when I first learned about my real grandmother. The Old Man...(My Grandfather's Death) Also as I grew my own mother seemed to resent me and even beat me many times. Eventually she tried to kill me with a gun when I was 15 while she was in a drunken stupor. Was she sensing that I was the one who had abandoned her when she was born. Or did I just have the job of helping her to work out her feelings and karma about her mom? I cant get the darn link to work right. If you are interested in this question please google Margaret Barton-Wahl. Then find my WritersCafe.org account and then click on the story titled The Old Man, (My Grandfather's Death) THANKS!!!! PS. This situation has really bothered me and I would like some help with whatever it may be. I will try one more time... http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Maggie-May/271880/ Thanks for your kind response RAZNA but this was all many years ago and my mother died from a heart attack many years later. I am now 51 and just trying to sort out the mess that was my youth. I left home at 15 just after her last attack. She did quit drinking and died in her home with her 3rd husband at her side.
I'm looking for a book called "Reincarnation" either the name of the author or where i can buy a copy its a fictional love story most likly in the teenage catagory i dont know the authors name but would like to
According to Reincarnation,Is it not possible that Hitler was a Reincarnated Jesus came to equal the Blood? Both Jesus and Hitler were destined to born.According to law of Karma sometimes the Terribly tortured Soul can transform to teach a terrible lesson to stop repeating the same story.
what do you think of reincarnation? could there be some truth in it? The stories that i know of about rebirth is amazing. but could such stories be made up stuff, or could there be some hint of truth in them? what are your comments on this subject, and do you believe in it and if so can you tell me what you think of it?
Reincarnation question, Do you think? I'm not a firm believer of reincarnation, or wasn't, until my daughter was born. I'm not quite sure how this reincarnation works, but I would like to know. I've searched it online, to much to read, hard to understand. Do you think someone that you don't know, that has been murdered. Only a few months before someone else was born, could be your child etc? I know my question is hard to understand let me break it down. Say someone that you don't know was murdered, but you know of this person and kept the story in your head EVERYDAY. You have a child a few months after their murder, do you think your child could be them?! I need help, Please no rude answers SERIOUS ANSWERS..PLEASEEE this person IS NOT a relative
what to you think of reincarnation? does any else believe it? my family is buddhist and they told me that i'm a reincarnation of my grandfather's niece. they know of this because when my mom was expecting twins(me and my sister) my grandfather's niece came into my mom's dream and asked to live with her. she also asked if her friend(my sister) can live with her too. and you know my mom said yes. one day when i just a young kid, my family showed me a picture of the girl i'm supposely a reincarnation of and i said "i die already". but im all grown now and don't remember any of that. they also told me that out the twins, im the one that always follow my grandparents. they said it was because i remember them. i believe anything my family has to say. i mean they wouldnt make up some bullshit story for no reason. and this is not the only story i've heard. people has told me that children can recall their past life.
Evidence of reincarnation in children? My son was 2 when he started asking for my coffee and saying "Mmmm. I love hot coffee!" and he started riding a 2 wheeler without training wheels the month he turned 3. The first time he blew on a harmonica, he started stomping one foot just like a blue grass instrumentalist. Yesterday he dove into a pool head first for the first time. Unprompted. I didn't see it, but the lifeguard did. He has not been to any swim lessons. He is only 3 1/2! He seems so familiar with new things! I'd love to hear your stories! I just remembered an incident that happened years ago with my daughter...she was around 2...very good with drawing shapes and recognizing letters...she drew a small "t" and said it was Jesus. Then she drew a circle with lines like a shining sun...and said "Jesus' face." Like she had heard about the Transfiguration before. Her Sunday school teacher had not covered the transfiguration in class.
i am writing a novel .. referring paranormal stories, i look forward for any kind of experience related to? myth, ghost or reincarnation, or multiple personality cases in real life. any one could please help me with the subject am looking for.?
reincarnation again? ok, i still dont get it, if christianity does believe in reincarnation, how does each individual spend eternity in heaven, does that mean when you die and get reincarnated, you will never be you again, some say if a soul doesent get it on earth, they are sent back to try again, so if john dies and gets sent back as joe, and joe does everything write, does the old john get to also spend eternity in heaven because his next soul did it rignht, does that mean that if you dont get it right, u are gone foreever, because in that little story, johns soul moved on and got it right, now joe has a new personality and conscience and john has a personality and conscience, but if they are the same souls, do they both get to live in heaven concerning they are 2 different people.
Wanting opinions - Would you read a series like this? The entire series revolves around one kingdom, Cywae, which is ruled by the Queen. The first book explores the life of Queen Rodi. The story follows her as she deals with an asshole husband, falls in love, and forms a coven. The next part of the series is about Rodi's daughter Acorana. She is to inherit the throne. Her story is about growing up, falling in love, and all the heartbreaks along the way. The third part of the series is about Acorana's best friend Anathina. Her story is one of treachery and betrayal. When the coven, and kingdom, are betrayed all the women are murdered. And this is where the story truly begins. Their wrongful death leads them to many reincarnations to seek justice. The story will follow them in one life as they seek to right that terrible wrong so very long ago. The reader will be able to see the story from different perspectives, as I will tell every woman's story.
SATANISTS : do you believe in reincarnation, i need help? Someone i know from a friend thinks hes the reincarnation of kurt cobain.and says hes a satainist. so satainists, do you believe in reincarnation? what he says on his facebook : I am Kurt Cobain's reencarnation, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. The man commited suicide one day before I was born, on April 6th 1994, he took his own life. And on April 7th 1994, I was brought to this world, I fell in love with Kurt when I found out about him, his music has inspired me to do many things, his story has changed my point of view on life and the world. The similarities between Kurt and I, are incredibly close, words can not describe my feelings for Kurt. I love him, and his music. I am a satanist, not to fit in with any group, I am pretty much the only person I know personally who is a satanist, I choose to be, because I feel it is right for me, I don't care what you think of my religion, or what you think of me, just don't disrespect my religion in my home, or I will destroy you. I respect everyone who doesn't mind, it is my life, and religion is an important part of life, it changes the way you live, and the things you do in life. lol. thanks satan!
Do many think, as some do on Answers, that the Bible does NOT mention Reincarnation? Someone stated in answer to a "weird" question yesterday, that "Jesus' followers do not believe in reincarnation" and another stated that the "Bible states opposite" to reincarnation. This answer asks "if Bible is correct...?". This brought back vague memories of it being stated through the years, that Jesus, himself pointed out many times that he believed in reincarnation. So I did what I do NOT normally do, I investigated reincarnation in the Bible, and this is what I came up with. i.e. Story of the blind man (JOHN) Jesus identifies John the Baptist as Elijah (MATHEW) Jesus "Elijah has come"(MATHEW) (In this instance who was right. Jesus said John was Elijah and John himself, said he wasn't. Who is supposed to be believed - Jesus, the Son of God or John. Jesus said to his disciples "Who do people say the Son of Man is" Disciples "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah still others Jeremiah". Many believed in reincarnation way back in A.D.250 but the Church declared it heresy around 553. Believing in Reincarnation, and the subject being accepted by the Church, would have contradicted many of their teachings. Therefore, as has happened in our recent history, the Church took all thoughts of reincarnation out, to make it easier for them to control the masses, to think the way THEY wanted them to think. Andrew A - Your bible quote does not tell ME that if a judgement does take place, that you cannot be judged after each reincarnation. Johann P - Your bible quotes didn't prove a thing to me. Most of them could mean that after death (of each individual body) these things would apply. You have not quoted much of what Jesus said. One reason I do not read the books of the Bible that were written by those who had not even met Jesus. Beside the point, I BELIEVE that reincarnation COULD be a possibility. I have not struck it from my mind because of what others have said or written, but because from my studying over the years, it makes sense to me. MICAH AR - Only 50? FEROCHIR - What a very interesting answer. I agree with everything you have stated and thank you for your insight and for your thorough investigation of this subject. Isn't it wonderful to be able to choose to think and investigate for oneself, without prejudice and judgement. I love have an open mind, and I know I yet have a long way to go. Even then I will not know the answers to all my questions, but I do know one thing. Because of my choices I do not fear death. I am leaving my body behind and ME, the real me is going to continue on. To what I do not know, but what an adventure.
Do you believe in reincarnation? I am a Christian, and have never really believed in reincarnation, or thought much about it. I realize that most Christians believe that there is no reincarnation within Christianity, but can't God do anything he wants? Including re-using souls? The reason I ask is because of my 3 yr old daughter. She has been telling me lately of how she used to be a mom in the old west. (Her words, "Once, I was a Mama like you. I lived in the olden west days, with the cowboys. I had three babies, but one of them died, and I was so sad. I still had two babies, but I was never happy again. I wore long dresses, and I had to work hard all the time. Then, I got really old, then I died. That's how I got to be your daughter!) I know, it sounds like I'm making it up, but I swear I'm not. I realize it could just be the imagination of a child, but she keeps repeating the same story, sometimes with more details. SO, is reincarnation real? If so, what should I do for/about/with my little girl?
I have a question about Holocaust reincarnation....? I have recently discovered that a few people believe they are reincarnated souls from the holocaust. And when I look at my life (I'm 21) and the way things are panning out, I honestly feel that I could be one of these people. I'm a Canadian girl who grew up in a christian town, In seventh grade I started to learn about Judaism on my own, I found it very interesting. In a 10th grade history class, we began to learn about the holocaust, myself, generally not overly sensitive, would cry during class, feeling horrified. I became obsessed with holocaust stories, survival stories, anything to do with the subject. At 19, I went on a religious search, Judaism's way of thinking, did not compromise my own beliefs, because even though I lived in a christian place, I was already living my life to the same laws as judaism. I'm now in the process of converting. I also keep having these horrible dreams of Auschwitz and my family is a family I've never seen before. They are so real. Could this be?
Do you know that the in middle age the chatares agreed with the theory of reincarnation and.....? ...accepted the feminin principle in their religion and their priests were not only men but even women? But if, for example, the story of Christ resurection from death must be understood not in its literal sense, but in a symbolical sense, so it can be interpreted in many ways which are not in conflict with its message and not alterate its meaning?
If you believe in reincarnation why are there no accounts of people remembering past lives as other than human I have read many stories, and have heard personal accounts of people that claim to remember past lives, with a lot of detail about who they were, where they were, their families, etc. Sometimes, usually small children, begin speaking in foreign languages to which they have never been exposed. Re-incarnation is a core belief of some religions, and along with that is the notion that one can be reborn, not just as a human, but also as an animal, if they build up bad karma. If that is so, why are there no accounts of people describing a past life as an animal? I also believe there must be intelligent life somewhere else in the universe, but again, why are there no accounts of people describing a past life as something extra-terrestrial? Why are Earth-humans always reborn, supposedly, as Earth-humans?
Can memories pass through generations? I know this might sounds strange or confusing but I'll try and get what I mean. I believe in pastlives and reincarnation and stuff and I was just wondering, some people don't believe in it. I was watching this TV show where 'celebrities' are regressed and some of the stories are so interesting but strange to think that they actually lived those lives! What I was wondering is if memories could pass through from generation to generation could that mean maybe when they're being regressed instead of tuning into memories of a pastlife they are tuning into the lives of relatives from however many years ago? So it might not have been you but because your relative from that time lived that way the memories are passed through the family. Does that make any sense? What do ya'll think? The question I'm asking is 'Can memories pass through generations?' to make it clearer, sorry! :)
Why do we all need a supernatural afterlife death belief? Almost every group of humans developed a mythology in their religion, faith, spirituality for an afterlife. As an atheist I think that the afterlife is BS. Why do do need afterlife beliefs? The religions that believe in God all want to have a heaven. And even the more supposedly "secular" Hindu/Buddhism/Eastern religions have their own fake afterlife/reincarnation stories and such. I'm an atheist agnostic and feel that religion, faith, spirituality is all about imaginatively lying and building a lifestyle dedicated to it. Why don't we do away with it? There is no afterlife or spiritual/supernatural realm. The "before-life" (before birth) is exactly the sam as death. It's just a lack of consciousness and existence except as personal memories in the minds of those who knew you. Every person who's died is in no spiritual/magical/supernatural realm. They just don't exist anymore and the physical material which made them returned to the planet. It might seem sad to many but it's true. Why do we need elaborate death stories with ideas of heaven/reincarnation, etc?
Christians, how do you explain proof of reincarnation? Like people born with memories of another person. http://aboutreincarnation.org/stories.php ((My hidden agenda -- Wondering if you dismiss this in similar ways non-Christians react to your experiences with God.)) Hypothesis confirmed! Thanks everyone!
Riencarnation???? Hi, I'm very curious. I sort of believe in reincarnation, but is there proof that it really happens? I was wondering if you guys believe in it, and if so, why? Or do you have any reincarnation stories? THANKS! :) Does anyone on here think they have been reincarnated?
About the book "Reincarnation" by Suzanne Weyn? It is a teens' novel about romance, but it has a strong sense of religion in it. It's a series of short stories that focuses in on a couple who keeps getting reincarnated until they finally come together. In each short story, they worship a different God. What are your views on this? Personally, I thought it was an interesting idea and a great book.
What Makes God and Religion a Touchy Subject? I've had many discussions on religion and believes in God. Personally i don't believe in the Bible at all, i think its a bunch of bed time stories or fables that got very popular. However, I do believe in some higher power though i believe in reincarnation more. What do you think? "I think you need to get off your high horse. If different religions (or lack there of) are ever supposed to survive together, the one thing we need, more than tolerance, is respect. So telling Christians that their Bible is a bunch of bed time stories and fables that got very popular is not respectful" I'm not on a high horse or being disrespectful, i just said what i believed and in fact by your logic you were being disrespectful to me.
Reincarnation and people from past lives? I met this person about a month ago and they are half a world away. He is very spiritual and I am on that track. I have heard stories about people remembering places from past lives, but do we often run into people from past lives? I know it seems strange, but I feel like I have known him forever, and he is much older than I am. Anyway, write me back with your thoughts. Peace to all of you.
Reincarnation...real or false? I just read and completed this amazing book called Many minds, many masters. I practically finished that book in 2 hours. It made me think...and it made me realise that...reincarnation is most probably true. Ever since I was a tiny kid, I've had this INTENSE love and passion for the historical, classical era, around the 18th century..I've always LOVED classical music..I knew who Mozart was when I was around 7..and everything I wear is classical...you step into my room...its like stepping into 18th century Versailles. And plus..for some reason, I can relate to Marie Antoinette in nearly ever way possible..from what I read, we are so completely alike..and..her story touches me soo dramatically...I feel like its happening to me.. Anyways...my question is...does anyone else feel like they've existed in a past life? Or have this intense bond or love for a particular era?
