What is the difference between MOOs and MUDs?

According to Wikipedia, MOOs are a type of MUDs, but then what is the difference to other types of MUDs? I am more interested in what the difference is for the users, or maybe the administrators, but not in technical details. Please keep it simple! would appreciate fast response as i need it for tomorrow morning! Many thanks!!! Ok so they are both multi-user dimension spaces (as they are both MUDs). What is the difference between object-oriented and non-object-oriented (what is object-oriented anyway?), and what is the difference between live-coding and non-live coding?
