How can I get mud out of a winter coat?

My daughter (who is not walking yet) army crawled through mud at daycare. Her coat is completely covered and I'm not sure where to even begin to try to treat this mess.

2. best thing I would suggest is to hang her coat some wear warm let the mud dry , when it´s dry brush off with a normal coat brush or any other soft brush , if your talking MUD, then use a blunt knife to take most of the mud of first , Then with a damp sponge , sponge the coat down.
3. Hopefully the coat is washable. Try washing it. The fumes from dry cleaning fluids have been found to be dangerous to your health so i wouldn't recommend dry cleaning it.
