12. No. He is not like Dr. King. He is like Barack. He does not need nor does he wnt to be held up to such a high standard or to be limited by being compared only to people who are Black. He never knew his African father but was raised by his White mother and grandparents. He certainly does inspire people though and I hope he inspires them to reject divisive politics and the politicians, especially the Clintons, who practice them. I hope this answers your question. Of course since his grandfather was a muslim some of you don't think he could possibly accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior. This of course means that you reject a large part of the message of Christianity which welcomes ALL people to participate and believe regardless of wht their parents or grandparents were. This reminds me that he was raised by his Christian mother and grandparents which makes it hard for me to believe that he was EVER a muslim and even if he was when he was 6 years old or so it would not disqualify him from office so save the garbage for the dumpsters people and stop posting it online.
13. Obama has practiced and perfected his cadence and oratory style but Obama would have been considered a republican by the political standards of MLK's day. Their politics are very different reflecting how far this country has moved right in the past 40 years. Reincarnation no ...Obama was born before MLK was shot. Obama is not a muslim! Republicans can repeat it as many times as you like it only discredits your answer and proves that you are scared to run against him on the issues.
14. The fact that he must be compared to somebody else such as JFK or MLK signifies he is not very original and not very effective but only seen as a copy cat. He may be wanting unity between the parties but the effectiveness of the parties demands debate between the two and the finding of the best solution, not a unified projection.
15. Nah, He was born before King died. There are a few similarities - both are/were excellent speakers, both hold/held high ideals, and both have been vilified by right wingers. The folks screaming 'Muslim' now are very much the spiritual successors of those who screamed 'communist' at Dr. King. Of course, King is such an icon now that only the most brazen and foolish of the racists scream insults now, the rest only whisper their hate for fear of their evil nature being discovered. That said, I believe every individual should be judged on their own benefits - by the content of their character - as Dr. King most famously stated. Obama is not King, Hillary is not Bill, W is not GHWB, and the governator is not his Nazi father. I like the character of King (who died when I was 2), and I like the character of Obama. Each individual must make their own choice in this matter.
