- Not "Genuine Christianity", that's for sure!!
- i know hinduism does
- Judaism believe in reincarnation as a one-time, national event, after the coming of the Messiah.
- I think it would be.... only the true ones
- The false ones.
- Many Jews believe in reincarnation, but Judaism does not "teach" anything about the afterlife. Nothing about the afterlife can be found in our Bible. It is the Christian NT that teaches about life after death. .
- Hindu Buddhist Taoism Many Wiccan, Pagan, New Age and Metaphysical individuals believe in reincarnation as well. Some Native American Tribes do too. Just a few off the top of my head ...
- Every religion does. All except Catholicsm, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. But I'm Catholic and I still believe in it.
- There is also mention of reincarnation in Christianity, as in Matthew 16:13-14, Jesus asks his disciples who he was, and they replied, some say John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeramiah or any one of the prophets. They also have sins of the father show forth in the father's son, as in John 9:2 where he was asked what sin did this guy do in the past life or what did his parents do that a child was born blind as a punishment in this generation? (See the Greek) However, Augustine, one of the Church Fathers wrote that Christians, no matter what they did or did not do here on earth, good or bad, they were predestined for heaven or hell. (See "The Predestination of the Saints", which comprises two books, one called the same as the treatise and a second named, "The Gift of Perseverance". In Judaism, it is believed the Godly soul of Adam in part was willed to King David by Adam to add 70 years to David's life--thus, levels of souls were made possible since the beginning of life here. Interesting concept, would mean it had a lot of influence among those that learn the Noahide Covenant globally by way of Shem, his school and Abraham. Also in Judaism, a soul decides to come back (haNeshoma) either to complete a mission, or fulfill the need of the souls required to bring about the earthly World-to-Come. R' Tzvi Freeman of Chabad.org adds: "Rabbi Moshe Cordovero, author of the Pardes Rimonim and one of the major sages of the Kabbala in 16th century Tzfat, wrote that we retain no memory of our past lives. This, he says, is necessary for the benefit of society, because otherwise, enmities and "past debts" would continue on forever. "Death is Gd's way of rebooting life, clearing out all the bad and fragmented memory and starting up with a fresh, clean system. "The 'Book of Reincarnations' (Shaar Hagilgulim) by Rabbi Chaim Vital is the classic work on this topic. It has been translated and is available at Judaism.com."
- In west Asian, and one time in Christianity.
