- No
- There is no such thing. It's no more than a fairy tale.
- no way.
- there is no doubt in my mind that we live many lives, not just one. that would be silly
- I'm not sure. Been informed I've been reincarnated several times and I carry some things from past lives, and the spirits. I like the idea but I think it might be just wishful thinking.
- Nope - and if you'd read your Bible thoroughly, you'd realize even the Bible says there is nothing after death.
- Reincarnation is false. You either go to heaven or hell, eternally, depending on if you put your faith into Jesus Christ or not. Heaven is eternal happiness in the full presence of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Hell is eternal torture. You don't want to go there, but it's easy to avoid. Just put your faith into Jesus Christ. =) Jesus is God and the only way into heaven. Please pray a sincere prayer with all of your heart admitting to Jesus you are a sinner. Have full faith that His blood pays off all of your sins and accept His gift of everlasting life. I pray that God blesses you with peace. Amen.
- i find it ridiculous to believe in anything that you cant prove.
- i believe in it but i don't have much in the way of evidence toward it.. but it resonates much more with me than in other notions of post-death (i.e., non-existence or heaven/hell). it's supported in a vague sense with the "law of energy conservation" and momentum .. if energy is neither created nor destroyed, and our consciousness/lifeforce (or whatever part of an individual makes them THEM other than their body) IS some kind of energy or matter, then it would make sense that it wouldn't just abruptly end when our body ceases.. it makes sense that it would go on and either enter some sort of non-material state for a bit, then go back into a material mode for awhile and so on, etc
- You mean "me" "coming back" as someone who isn't me? If it isn't "me" then in what sense did "I" come back? "I" would no longer exist. But wait! Maybe "I" already don't exist! Maybe "I" am just the reincarnation of someone else who no longer exists. So, I am "me" or am I "them"? Obviously I can't be both. The whole idea is fundamentally absurd.
- Aren't reincarnation and resurrection (almost) the same thing? Worldwide there are more people that believe in reincarnation than believe in resurrection. But, seriously, how can your soul die? Are all those who have been regressed to past lives making it up? Were Doris Stokes, Betty Shine and Edwin Casey all mistaken? There can be no definite proof, but the only real word against it is in the biased bible.
- No, I don't believe in that but I do believe in the truth. I know when we came into existence, we came from a man and a woman (mother & father). I know from all the funerals I see, the body goes back to the ground from which we came. I know Genesis 1:26- 28, 31 says,..... 26) And God said, Let us (Him, His Son Jesus and the Spirit of God) make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl in the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. 27) So God created man in His own image, in the image of God, created He them; male and female He created them. 28) And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply (not pick fruit and do math!), and replenish the earth and subdue it (have it under their control); and have dominion (power and authority) over the fish in the sea, and over the fowl in the air, and over every living thing that move upon the earth. 31) And God saw that every thing that he had made, and saw that it was good. God did not change His order for existence of the human race. He remains the same! We change in our thinking and behavior towards God, because we have gone away from the truth of His Word. I/we have authority over a bug or a dog (any animal if we specialize in them). Why would I come back as one, so some other human can have dominion over me? God created me and I will go back to Him when I die. Our body goes back to the ground from which it came and our spirit goes back to God who made us. He is the ultimate Creator and there is none above Him. Interesting question but I hope this answer helped you in your thoughts!
- No. When your gone, your gone.
- Reincarnation is false. Jesus explains the true meaning of His words in the below passage: "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless He is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying, you must be born again" (verses 5-7). Jesus made it quite clear that He was not speaking of a physical birth, or a series of them for that matter, but one of a spiritual nature. Actually, the correct rendering of this text from the original Greek should use "born from above", for that is precisely what is involved. Mortal human beings mate and bring forth offspring that were mortal and subject to death like themselves ("flesh gives birth to flesh" - verse 6.) However, the "birth" that Jesus spoke of was not achieved through natural reproductive means, but as an event initiated by God alone (John 1:13). When a person is "born again" as a child of God through faith in Christ’s redemptive provision of Himself on the cross, the Holy Spirit imparts to him a new nature that is not physical and therefore perishable (I Peter 1:23). Continued rebirth does not necessitate itself, for the individual has already entered God’s Kingdom of eternal life (John 5:24). Beyond the veil of death, the expanse of eternity awaits us all. The decisions that we make now will ultimately determine our place in it. God bless!
- I'm a Reincarnationist who was born with memories of my last life, as many children are. Most kids are discouraged from remembering either through ignorance or fear on the part of their parents, but with some of us the memories are so clear and vivid from early childhood that we need no verification from anyone else to know they are genuine. http://www.childpastlives.org is a great site on the subject and has a moderated discussion board for Reincarnationists and those who want to explore the subject further. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1209795/Reincarnated-Our-son-World-War-II-pilot-come-life.html is a story about one child who recalled his previous life. His parents are devout Christians but are also Reincarnationists. I have known many Christians who are Reincarnationists, including a very learned and devout Methodist minister. You mention having had dreams that may be about a past life. Dreams are one way - one of the most logical ways - in which our subconscious minds communicate with us. And there are methods you can learn to interact with your dreams, to encourage your dreaming mind to provide more information about what it's attempting to convey. A great book on this subject is "Creative Dreaming" by Patricia Garfield MD, which I recommend highly. As for my story, I was born with memories. As soon as I was able to talk, I wanted to know where my "other mother" was. When I learned how to walk, I walked out the back door into the woods in search of my "other house." I had recurring dreams about that life all through childhood, for as long as I can remember. I always knew what my name had been, and how I had died. I knew absolutely that it felt "wrong" to be a small child, because I had been an adult. As a little kid, I used to ask my dad to take me to cemeteries so I could look for my tombstone. And so much more - I could write a book. But the point is, I remembered my last life in amazing detail, and part of my "mission" this time around is to tell others that reincarnation is very real. As a deeply spiritual person, I explored religions, looking for truth. When younger I converted to Christianity and was a very devout Christian, but I learned that Christianity has been so horribly corrupted and defiled that it is no longer Christianity. It is now just a series of authorative, dogmatic revisions which redefine and distort even the simplest and most plaintive of messages, such as, "Truthfully, literally, you must be born again." Best of luck on your quest to explore your past-life history. It's a wonderful adventure to really and truly know yourself as you are in the eternal sense.
- Inexplicable fears as a child were part of it for me. Nothing as dramatic as the little boy who died during WW2 whose parents wrote the book called Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot, but memories just the same. I have personal reasons for being a reincarnationist but more than that, when understood correctly it just makes a perfect kind of beautiful, balanced, logical and loving, belonging sense.
- Everybody believes in reincarnation. Some of 'em just aren't aware of it.
