  1. you get rid of his means of getting online. simple.
  2. find something fun and interactive 4 him 2 do - sports maybe
  3. Really??? Set a time limit he plays, he is only 15, you should be setting the rules... One hour a day, or whatever you think is resonable. You are the adult, not him
  4. remove the fuse from the modem
  5. take his computer away you really needed to ask this?
  6. be glad that he's not doin drugs.. in a few years he'll be back to normal
  7. tell him to stop, dont let hiim on the pc,just ground him,any of the 3 will work.
  8. Well I actually think you should give limits. For example he can only play during Sundays, you can't ban him forever, it's your child's way of relaxing from school work. The important thing is he should pass that's all.:)
  9. don't pay the internet bill they will then disconnect you problem solved
  10. There are free password protected programs, what shuts off something after a time- computer, internet
  11. time limits say an one hour for his age. if he breaks this limit uninstall the game or cut his privileges.
  12. You can either set up a time limit for him, or you can always cancel the internet. Perhaps get a really slow internet, that always stops me from wanting to play MMORPG games.
  13. I dont know what that game is, but if you want him to stop playing, make him stop. You are the parent, right! Give him something else to do. Maybe do something together. Or find a different game. Good luck!
  14. Try to find something you both like to do and do it! Expose your son to other things. Example: take him to a baseball game. If that does not work, try sitting down with him and explaining to him why its so bad to be stuck on a video game. Use girls as leverage. :)
  15. if you need him off the computer, tell him to play it less or you'll take away his computer privlages, those online games are highly addictive no matter how stupid some of them are. but don't get me wrong some video games are actually good, violent ones can help for a kid to take their anger out so i addvise not cutting him off of all games cold turkey.
  16. spend more time with him. get him grounded. always do something or have visitors that interests him. most of the people playing that game might have friends who are into ragnarok or just playing the game out of boredom.
  17. Take away the source. Be ready to spend some time with him. Be pepared to give him direction (clean your room, do your homework...) Be prepared for pouting, tantrums, sulking. Allow timed play. Let him know you love him and you understand he's upset but too bad! lol. Boys can take it, I know. I have one who is turning out great!
  18. bit him up
  19. Do what parents do here in Korea and put the computer in the family room. That way you can see how much time he spend online.
  20. have the net shut off
  21. My Dad makes us pay 25 cents for extra 30 minutes on the computers. We usually pay for one hour, and then get off. My brothers, and sister play the online roleplaying games - and we all have set time limits. See if this works...unless he has a steady income - my Dads idea prolly won't work.
  22. PROXIES THIS SOFTWARE IS VERY SMART IT LEARNS FROM ITS OWN MISTAKES YOU CAN LIMIT HIS TIME ONLINE LIKE ME MY PARENTS, WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, USED TO ONLY LET ME HAVE 45 MIN ONLINE ON THE WEEKDAYS AND 2 HR ON THE WEEKENDS AND BEST OF ALL IT HAS AN INSTANT OVERRIDE TO WHERE YOU CAN DO ANY THING YOU WANT ON THE COMPUTER AND IF YOU HE IS NOT AN ONLY CHILD YOU CAN HAVE MORE THAN ONE USER ACCOUNTS AND THERE OWN PERSONAL PASS WORD SO ONE DOESN'T STEAL THE OTHER ONE'S PASS WORDS THIS SOFTWARE ALSO BLOCKS SITES THAT COULD PUT HIM IN DANGER OR HERT HIM LIKE NUTDIY AND OTHER SITES AND IF THE SOFTWARE DOESN'T CATCH IT, WITH YOUR PASSWORD YOU CAN BLOCK SITES YOURSELF AND UNBLOCK FOR THAT MATTER, THIS SOFTWARE RUNS OFF YOUR COMPUTER'S CLOCK SO MAKE SURE IT IS RIGHT AND IF YOU SON TRIES TO CHANGE THE TIMEZONE SO HE CAN GET THE NEXT DAY'S TIME THATS FINE BUT IF HE CHANGES IT BACK THE NEXT DAY OR CHANGES IT AGAIN IT WILL PUT THE INTERNET ON LOCK-DOWN AND E-MAIL YOU AND THE ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK IT IS WITH YOUR PASS CODE THIS IS A VERY GOOD SOFTWARE AND SHOULD FIX YOUR PROBLEM, HOWEVER IF YOUR CPU CRASHES IT WILL UNINSTALL. THIS IS THE WEBSITE TO GET THE SOFTWARE http://www.cyberpatrol.com/
  23. I think you should buy one of those card things. Like a card only has 8 hours on it for a week. IF you manage to find one, install it onto the computer, that way your son will play it less often. 8 hours of electronics really is much time, there for he might stop playing it as much.
  24. First reach down between your legs and make sure your nutz are still there. You tell him to get the hell off the game. If he doesn't then you take the fing computer away. Your the parent. I suggest you teach him whose in charge(you should have done so long ago.) before it gets worse.
  25. Block it! Go to www.google.com and look up in the search engine how to block a website. My brother's 12 year old played that for a few months and they finally had to block it.
  26. this depends a lot because if he is A:a good student with good grades and always puts his work first B:a person who occationally does well and does his homework on and off C:a bad student with bad grades who doesnt care about anything If A then whats the problemo? just get him involved a bit more with family but dont set to many limits If B set a few more limits such as an hour or 2 a day and tell him he should do a bit better in school If C destroy his computer and send him to millitary school that will fix him
  27. Find something he likes to do better than the game. Good luck with that. You haven't mentioned why you want him to stop playing. If it's for a good reason, then he will eventually forgive you for pulling the plug. But if you just want him to stop playing because you just want him to stop playing, then he's probably going to hold it against you for a long time. Whatever you do, have a good reason for doing it. It sounds like you might have no reason for wanting him to stop.
